by Karin Louise Sveen
I long for a silent night.
I long for a starry night.
I long for a sight of the Christ child's light.
Come Christmas, come Christmas, come.
I stand in the frozen air.
I stare up without a care.
I'll follow the sight of the Christ child's light.
Come Christmas, come Christmas, come.
I kneel before this small King.
I'll give Him the praises I bring.
I'll follow the Child so tender and mild.
Come Christmas, come Christmas, come.
It's love that I'm learning to share.
It's hope that tells people to care.
We all need the sight of the Christ child's light.
Come Christmas, come Christmas, come.
